  • – Executive Education Based on our experience in MBA education, NIK offers both customized and open executive education programs that respond to the needs or objectives of our client firms. We also collaborate with business schools overseas to provide human resource development programs for the global business affairs. The programs are offered in English and Japanese.

Board members: Representative Director Hirotaka Takeuchi

Hirotaka Takeuchi graduated from International Christian University and earned his MBA and Ph.D. from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. He served as Assistant Professor at Harvard Business School and Hitotsubashi University, where he was appointed Professor in 1987. He was the founding Dean of the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy (ICS) at Hitotsubashi University from 2000 to 2010. He became Professor at Harvard Business School in 2010 and Senior Fellow in 2022. Since 2019, he has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees at International Christian University, and he is Professor Emeritus at Hitotsubashi University. His major works include The Knowledge-Creating Company and The Wise Company (both co-authored with Ikujiro Nonaka).

Director Norihiko Shimizu

Norihiko Shimizu received his BA (Economics) from Keio University and MBA from Stanford University. He served as a professor (2000-2003) and a visiting professor (2003-2016) at Hitotsubashi ICS. He also taught at the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University (1998-2000) and was a lecturer at Nomura School of Advanced Management (1986-2000), a lecturer at Stanford University (1993, 1997), and a visiting professor at the University of California (1984, 1990). He has more than twenty years of experience in management consulting, including his former career as Director and Vice President of Boston Consulting Group, Inc., based in Tokyo. His areas of expertise are (a) corporate governance and strategy, and (b) organization and leadership.

Auditor Mikiharu Noma

Mikiharu Noma earned his Ph.D. in Commerce from Hitotsubashi University. After serving as Lecturer at Yokohama City University and Associate Professor at Hitotsubashi University, he has been Professor in the Finance and Accounting Program at Hitotsubashi Business School since 2019. He has also served as Chair of the “Corporate Reporting Lab” at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Outside Director of Bandai Namco Holdings Inc., and Advisor to Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. His expertise includes accounting, corporate valuation, corporate finance, and organizational transformation.
